The Obio/Akpor Chairmanship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the forthcoming Local Government Election in the Rivers State has pledged to ensure an all inclusive government that would meet the yearnings of the people.
The carnival-like atmosphere which occurred in Oro-Evo Kingdom Obio/Akpor Local Government Area brought together Party faithfuls, leaders, and supporters gathered in their numbers to drum support for the PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Dr. Gift Worlu and his Vice, Dr Joyce Nyeche ahead of the August 30th Local Government elections.
Dr. Gift Worlu in his speech assured the people that he fully understands the responsibilities of a Local Government Chairman and promised to synergize with stakeholders to ensure dividends of democracy are delivered to the people.

“There is no better way to lead than to work in synergy with everyone. Solutions will come from you, and I have the courage to listen. United we stand, divided we fall—a people united can never be divided,” he declared.

Dr. Worlu who expressed gratitude to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike, for finding him worthy to serve, further reached out to non-indigenes, greeting them warmly in Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, and Ijaw, pledging to carry everyone along in his administration.
The Chairman of the Obio/Akpor PDP Campaign Council, Hon. Collins Amadi, praised the people for their massive turnout while presenting party flags to the councillorship candidates.
Former Chairman of Obio/Akpor, Barr. George Ariolu while declaring his full support for the Chairmanship Candidate urged Dr. Worlu to focus on delivering results, warning against following the noise of the crowd.
The Campaign train had earlier visited the palace of His Royal Highness King Dr. Temple Ejekwu, Eze Ogba Iji – Nu- Ede and Paramount Ruler of Rumuogba Kingdom to obtain his fatherly and royal blessings.
