Rivers APC Chairman Pledges to Secure All Positions in Upcoming LGA Election

The Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in Rivers state, Chief Tony Okocha says his party boycotted the previous local government election held in October 2024 that was not in line with electoral guidelines.

While urging the Party Candidates to start their campaigns with confidence Chief Okocha noted that his party was not testing the Electoral waters but keen on winning the elections which would hold in the 319 wards of the state.

Also speaking, National Vice-Chairman, South-South of the party, Chief Victor Giadom represented by Former Senator representing Rivers South East Senatorial district, Magnus Abe enjoined the candidates to campaign in line with electoral guidelines noting that they are the representatives of President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda in the state.

He explained that Rivers State is important to President Bola Tinubu and the candidates standing for election were carefully chosen to ensure that the dividends of democracy was delivered to those in the grassroots.

In his remarks former member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Ephraim Nwuzi wished the Candidates well in the forthcoming Local Government Election in the State and appreciated the leadership of APC for ensuring that the party primaries were conducted in a peaceful way.
