Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has questioned social media activist VeryDarkMan over Burna Boy’s reported ₦200 million donation for a school project, demanding an explanation of how the funds were spent.
Portable raised the questions in a video in which he criticised VeryDarkMan for painting portraits on a wall. He questioned why the activist painted footballer Adebayo instead of Burna Boy, whom he identified as the source of the reported donation.
“Burna Boy give you money, wetin you use am do? NGO money, where the money dey?” Portable asked.
The singer also questioned why VeryDarkMan included a portrait of himself, arguing that the project was reportedly funded by someone else.
Portable further alleged that Burna Boy had provided more than ₦200 million for the construction of a school, accusing the activist of failing to use the money for its intended purpose.
“You are fighting for your pocket. Burna Boy give you N200 million plus, make you build school, you go build Ashewo house,” he said.
The comments have brought renewed attention to the reported donation and the questions surrounding its use. However, the allegations made by Portable have not been independently established, and the available account does not include a response from VeryDarkMan addressing the claims.
