Boy Escapes Death In Near Accident

A young boy narrowly escaped death when a motorcycle lost control and crashed into a wall just inches away from where he stood.

The incident unfolded when a motorcycle attempted to overtake a vehicle from the right in order to continue straight ahead. Unknownly to the rider, the vehicle was already without indicating, preparing to turn right into a nearby street. With little time to react and facing a possible collision, the motorcyclist swerved abruptly and drove straight into the nearest wall to avoid falling off his bike.

That split-second decision, while preventing one accident, almost caused another. Standing directly in front of the wall was a young boy, accompanied by his mother, both returning home from church. The motorcycle crashed so close to him that passers by were in shocks. For a moment, they feared that the boy would be struck.

A witnesses described the child’s heart racing in fear—a description she gave after giving him a hug to relief him from shock—stunned by how close he had come to death. In that moment, it was clear how fragile life can be on roads where caution is often ignored.

This incident highlights a recurring societal issue: unsafe overtaking, poor traffic judgment, and the lack of patience on our roads. Motorcyclists, drivers, and pedestrians all share these spaces, yet too often, speed and assumptions take precedence over safety. Children, in particular, remain the most vulnerable victims of such negligence.

Near-misses like this barely make headlines, but they carry powerful warnings. Not every accident ends in loss, but every close call is a reminder that stricter adherence to traffic rules on the road should be non-negotiable to every driver and pedestrian.
