NFF Committee To Decide Madugu’s Future With Super Falcons – Sanusi

MADUGU

Another confrontation seems to be looming ominously for Super Falcons’ coach, Justin Madugu, as his future with the triumphant team rests in the hands of the technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

‎According to report, Madugu has been serving in an interim role throughout his tenure with the Falcons, including during the recent Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. However, winning the tournament may not necessarily secure his position as the permanent coach of the team.

‎This conclusion was drawn by the NFF’s secretary-general, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, who stated that a decision regarding the coach’s future will be made in due time by the members of the football governing body’s technical committee.

‎Sanusi also dismissed any notion that he could influence the decision regarding Madugu’s future, emphasizing that he does not involve himself in matters beyond his responsibilities.

‎“It is indeed true that we are all pleased with the coach’s achievements, particularly since he has secured the cup in his first attempt with the team. However, it is well known that I refrain from discussing matters that fall outside my area of responsibility.

‎“What I can affirm is that the technical committee has acknowledged his contributions, and I trust they will arrive at the appropriate decision. Whether he remains interim or becomes the substantive coach, the outcome is what truly matters,” the NFF secretary concluded.
