The Defence For Human Rights And Democracy says the administration of President Bola Tinubu has failed woefully in all sectors of the economy, describing the hardship facing Nigerians as very pathetic. The reaction by the DHRD followed the May 29 Swearing in Day midterm performance score card delivered by the President Tinubu led administration.
Speaking with our correspondent, the National Chairman of DHRD, Comrade Clifford Christopher Solomon said: “The government of President Bola Tinubu has failed woefully in the last two years of his administration in all sectors ranging from the economy, agriculture, education, health to security. “It is very pathetic that we have a very deceitful government.
The moment Tinubu was sworn in, he declared fuel subsidy gone and right from that time till now, the government of Nigeria became that of Somalia where hunger and all manner of downturns thrive. “Due to the policies and programmes of this government, Nigerians are committing suicide in their hundreds. Before now, we hardly hear the issue of Nigerians migrating abroad (Japa) but it is surging now.

That means there is something fundamentally wrong. “The government of President Tinubu should retrace its steps by providing the dividends of democracy to Nigerians. This current government has no human empathy and does not have the political will to transform the country. “In all the sectors of the economy under this current administration, no sector could score even five percent which means the president and his government have failed.
And it is expected of Tinubu to think of how to get it right but in this case, I doubt if he even cares. All he cares about is how to pocket democracy and make Nigeria a one party state where there will be no freedom of expression. “Governance in Nigeria has been abandoned. What they do now is politicking. Nothing is working in Nigeria. So we are asking the president to retrace his steps and look for what to do to make Nigerians survive.”
