TotalEnergies OML 58 Scholarship Opens for Nigerian Students in Host Communities

TotalEnergies Nigeria has opened applications for its OML 58 Scholarship, offering a comprehensive financial support package to Nigerian students from designated host communities. This scholarship, covering full tuition and living allowances, aims to empower recipients throughout their higher education journey, contingent upon maintaining strong academic performance.

The scholarship initiative, part of TotalEnergies’ corporate social responsibility, is directed at students residing within the company’s OML 58 operational zones, including communities like Erema, Olo, Ubeta, Obagi, and Ibewa. Located in Rivers State, approximately 85 kilometers from Port Harcourt, OML 58 is pivotal in Nigeria’s oil and gas production, with an additional focus on meeting national gas flaring reduction targets.

Eligibility Requirements
For the 2024 cycle, eligible applicants must:
1. Be Nigerian citizens.
2. Reside in one of the specified host communities, such as Egi, Igburu, Ekeye, or Rumuekpe.
3. Be enrolled in a Nigerian public tertiary institution.

Applicants must complete their submissions by November 9, 2024.

Scholarship Benefits
The OML 58 Scholarship covers all education-related costs, including tuition and living allowances, for selected recipients. This financial support aims to eliminate obstacles to education for students from TotalEnergies’ operational communities.

To apply, candidates should access the online application portal, complete the application form, and upload the following documents:

– Birth or age declaration certificate
– Recommendation letter
– Certificate of indigeneship
