All roads will lead to Emohua, a fast rising town near Port Harcourt, on Saturday, as their Paramount Ruler, His Royal Majesty, Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse, will be celebrating his birthday on that day.

The event is expected to be a roll call of the who is who in Rivers State in particular and Nigeria at large, including politicians, traditional rulers, business magnates and the academia.

This is because of Awuse’s influence and intimidating credentials as a major player in politics, business, traditional institution and education.

For instance, he is reputed to be a pioneer politician and former governorship aspirant in Rivers State.

He is the paramount ruler/king of Emohua Kingdom and chairman of Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers.

He is also the chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho. And he is said to be an investor, with viable business concerns.

Moreover, his philanthropic activities, especially in the area of free cancer treatment and awareness campaigns, have earned him encomiums.

TPCN learnt that that Awuse, generally known as the political bulldozer of the Ikwerre Nation and Rivers State, will also be celebrating his one year anniversary since emerging as the paramount ruler of Emohua as well as chancellor of LAUTECH.

As at the time of doing this report, activities for the event had started in Emohua. It was gathered that the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, will be the special guest of honour at the event while his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, will be the guest of honour.

An indigene of Emohua, Simon Akpo, told TPCN on Friday that all sons and daughters of the area are already looking forward to the event.

Akpo said: “The atmosphere is buzzing already and expectations are high. All sons and daughters of Emohua are looking forward to the event. In fact, most of our daughters that are married within Rivers State here will also come.
“Everybody wants to celebrate Ohna Awuse, because he’s the only bulldozer we have, and he has done so well as a leader all these years.”
