The Judge in his ruling on three counts of child stealing, kidnap and armed robbery, said that the evidence presented to him in court proved that Promise Thompson who is the first defendant in the case and his gang went to Eagle Cement area of Trans-Kalabari road in Rumuolumeni to rob one Chidiebere Ogbogu.

The court affirmed that the convicted and one Beatrice Ogunka who absconded after she was granted bail by the police were responsible for shooting the left hand of the victim, Chidiebere Ogbogu on the 25 October, 2018 and thereafter stole his five year old child identified as Chigoziri Ogbogu.

Justice Henry-Aprioku said the evidence by the prosecution has proved that the first defendant took the boy to Uratta junction in Aba, Abia State and sold him to his syndicate who also sold same boy to another syndicate.
