Man in Police net for killing wife over argument in Delta

The Delta State Police Command has arrested a suspect for allegedly killing his forty-two years old wife, Oghogho Olori over a disagreement in Isoko North Local Government Area of the state.

It was learnt that the suspect was arrested following a distress call from the younger brother of the victim.

The Police said they met the lifeless body of the victim at the time they arrived at the scene of the incident.

A statement signed by the Spokesperson of the Command, DSP Bright Edafe said the brother of the victim visited her apartment because he had not heard from her for a while.

“He visited her because he had not heard from her for some time but discovered that the door to the apartment was locked from the outside with an offensive odour coming from the apartment”.

“The DPO swiftly mobilized men who broke into the apartment and discovered that the victim was murdered and the husband was nowhere to be found.

“The Command embarked on a manhunt of the husband who was suspected to have committed the offence.

“Consequently, on 3/11/2022, the husband of the victim reported himself at the Police station and confessed to the crime stating that he murdered her over a disagreement. An investigation is ongoing,” the statement added.
