Wike appoints former APC spokesperson, Chris Finebone as Commissioner for Information

The former Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Senibo Chris Finebone has been appointed as the State Commissioner for Information and Communications.

His appointment came on following the swearing-in of 18 new commissioners by Governor Nyesom Wike on Wednesday.

Recall that Finebone was a staunch opponent of the Wike led-administration and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

The former APC Chieftain had resigned from the APC in August, without giving reasons for dumping the party.

In the letter dated August 12, 2022, and addressed to the Chairman of Ward 6, Opobo-Nkoro local government area, Finebone said, “I am not one to go public with the reasons for my resigning from APC, just as I did not give anyone reasons for joining the party.”

Meanwhile, mixed reactions have since trailed his new appointment.
