Vigilante apprehend man with gun, machete in Port Harcourt

Members of Diobu Vigilante Group Mile one Diobu Port Harcourt have arrested thirty-two-year-old Godspower Friday, over the possession of a locally made pistol, machete and facemask.

Friday was arrested in the early hours of today Monday 24 October 2022.

Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu Oroworukwo who is also the Assistant Secretary Diobu vigilante Group, Comrade Godstime Ihunwo, in an interview with our correspondent said the suspect was apprehended while he and his men were on patrol.

“At about 2:30 am early hours of today while on patrol along IKwerre Road, Wobo junction, I and my men apprehended a suspected criminal by the name Godspower Friday, who hails from Bayelsa state but resides behind St.Thomas spear parts dealers mechanic garage Diobu, PortHarcourt.

“A locally made pistol, Machete, two button phones and a facemask were recovered from the suspect which he uses to carry out his criminal activities in Oroworukwo PortHarcourt, he has been handed over to Nkpolu Divisional Police Headquarters Mile 3 Diobu”.

When contacted, the Spokesperson Rivers State Police Command SP Grace Iringe-Koko confirmed the incident but said she will give more updates soon.
