Family of late Youth President allegedly killed by OSPAC calls for justice

The family of late Okechukwu Eleonu, former Chairman of Mgbuola community, Ndele, in Emohua Local Government Area of the state, allegedly murdered last Saturday 15 October, has demanded for justice.

Eleonu was said to have been murdered by the commander of OSPAC, a local vigilante group in Mgbuola community.

Speaking on the incident to our correspondent, Victor Eleonu, younger brother to the deceased, said he was told by an eyewitness that his late brother reported an illegal oil bunkering business going on in the community to the Nigeria Police.

He said, “After my late brother reported to the Police, the disbanded OSPAC commander being the leader of the illegal oil bunkering business in the community caught him yesterday and shot him to death. The matter has been reported to Rumuji Police station but no arrest has been made.”

The wife of the deceased, Mary Eleonu, a mother of three called for the arrest of the culprit.

“Before I went to where they shoot him, he was dead. His body is in the mortuary now. I have three children, two boys and one girl, I want Government to catch the killer of my husband.

“He claimed that nobody can catch him.He said nobody can do him anything. I am now a widow my daugther want to write WAEC I do not have money, the culprit said my husband removed him from OSPAC and want to close where he is doing oil bunkering (kpo-fire) business that was why he shot him dead.”
