Tinubu will not play anti-party in Rivers – TSO

The Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO) in Rivers State has declared its determination to work for the victory of all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Presidency to the House of Assembly.

TSO coordinator in Rivers, Alhaji Faruq Chukwuma maintained that the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Tinubu, as a loyal party man, will not be associated with anti-party activities, adding that he is committed to the victory of the party in the state.

Chukwuma, who spoke during a meeting with the party’s governorship candidate in the state, Tonye Cole, said, “Tinubu understands that Lagos, Rivers, and Kano are important for any ruling party and will do all it takes to help deliver all APC candidates.

“As members of TSO, we are not unaware that we must work hard to win the governorship in Rivers State, for us to be able to reach out to our members in the grassroots.”

On his part, Tonye Cole stated that politics in the State is one that should not be taken lightly because the state, according to him, is in very bad shape.

He noted that residents in the state were waiting for the APC to change the narrative, as some communities in the state had no government presence.

According to him, “During our ward campaigns in 2019, we were shocked to see communities in Rivers State with no form of government presence.

“Rivers people are waiting for us to change things and we cannot take a gift that has been given to us and throw it away.”

He expressed satisafaction with the party’s readiness to deliver winning candidates of the party in the 2023 elections.
