Atiku Abubakar, attack dogs have been telling lies against me. I will respond line by line – Wike

Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike has said that the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar has been telling lies about him.

Wike said that Abubakar has been using rent seekers and scavengers in the party to attack him, promising to reply all the statements made about him line by line.

Speaking at the Port Harcourt International Airport upon his arrival from Spain, Wike denied claims in some quarters that Abubakar sent people to meet him.

According to him, “Atiku Abubakar and his attack dogs like Sule Lamido, Babangida Aliyu and Maina Waziri have been making untrue statements about me. During the unveiling of his running mate, Atiku Abubakar made statements that were untrue. During his interview with Arise TV, he repeated the same thing. I will react line by line both to the statements made by Atiku and his attack dogs.

“Nobody who loves me will ask me not to react. I have been minding my business since the end of the party’s primary, focusing on delivering the promises I made to Rivers people but Atiku Abubakar and his attack dogs continue to attack me.

On whether Atiku Abubakar sent emissaries to him, the governor said nobody was sent to him, adding that the former vice president has continued to hire journalists to fabricate all sorts of lies against him.

“I was in Spain and Bukola Saraki came to meet me. I asked him if he was sent by Atiku Abubakar and he said No. He said he wanted to see how we could solve the problems because they’re very deep.

“Atiku Abubakar came to my house before and asked me to support him or does he not know my house anymore? It’s unfair. I will speak after we are done commissioning some of our projects, at least for my sake and the sake of the people around me.

“I am not getting younger anymore. Assuming that I die and don’t respond to the statements made against me, it will be seen as the truth by the rest of the world”
