One Mrs. Sorle Akari has raised alarm over an alleged threat to her life by one Prophet Smile Eboh, for asking for a refund of her three million eight hundred thousand naira.

In an interview with our correspondent, Mrs. Akari disclosed that she was introduced to Prophet Eboh by a friend to whom she complained about the series of miscarriages she had in 2020.

She narrated that the Prophet, who resides at Rumuigbo had told her to bring a total of three million, eight hundred thousand naira and that he will use the money to consult other men of God to also pray for her.

According to her, she sold her valuables including jewelry, and borrowed money to raise the 3.8 million naira and gave to Prophet Eboh for the prayers, but later discovered that everything done by the Prophet was intended to defraud her.

She explained further that when it became clear it was a fraud, she went to Prophet Eboh’s resident only to discover he has packed out.

Mrs. Akari said Prophet Eboh has been threatening her life when she asked for a refund of the money he fraudulently collected from her under the guise of stopping the series of miscarriages.

She, however, alleged that the Prophet has vowed to deal with her if she continues to request the money and called on the Commissioner of Police and the public to intervene in the matter as her life is under threat.

Efforts made by our correspondent to reach the Prophet through his mobile phone number had proved abortive.

As of press time, it was gathered that the Commissioner of Police Rivers State, CP Eboka Friday has minuted on the petition sent to his office by Mrs. Sorle Akari to the Human Rights Desk at Police headquarters, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt for Investigation into the matter
