Eid-el-Kabir: FRSC deploys 1,192 personnel in Rivers State

The Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC Rivers State Command has deployed one thousand one hundred and ninety-two personnel to various highways in Rivers State for the Eid-El Kabir celebration.

FRSC in Rivers State said the deployment in Rivers State and its Component Commands in Eleme, Bori, Ahoada, Isiokpo, and Bonny Island is to achieve Zero Road Traffic Crashes on our roads during the Eid-El Kabir celebration.

The Acting Sector Public Enlightenment Officer FRSC Rivers State Command, JULIANA U. ENI, in a statement said the deployment is to ensure prompt response to rescue road traffic crash victims, speedy removal of obstructions from highways, and eradication of road traffic congestion.

The FRSC in Rivers State also promised that its special patrol team will engage in sensitizing the public through public education and surveillance activities with a view to regulating and checking the excesses of bad drivers.

The statement further advised members of the public to drive safely and avoid the use of phones while driving.

The Rivers State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC also cautions motorists to avoid drunk during, overloading, and to always obey traffic lights, especially the newly installed traffic light located within the metropolis.

The statement added that defaulters will face the full wrath of the law.

THE SECTOR COMMANDER RIVERS STATE COMMAND DEPLOYS 1,192 PERSONNELS TO CURB CRASHES THIS Eid-EL KABIR CELEBRATION

FRSC as a lead agency in traffic management and safety administration deploys 1,192 personnel to various parts of the highways of Rivers State and its Component Commands; Eleme, Bori, Ahoada, Isiokpo, and Bonny Island for the Eid-El Kabir Special Operations to achieve Zero Road Traffic Crashes on our roads.

Further to achieve this, effective and efficient public enlightenment, prompt response to rescue road traffic crash victims, speedy removal of obstructions from highways, and eradication of road traffic congestion will continue to be paramount to the Federal Road Safety Commission, RS6.1 Rivers most especially during this festive season.

In addition, more than 25 patrol vehicles have been deployed across the State, and 2 Ambulances are on standby in case of emergencies.

The Commander promises that his special patrol men will engage in sensitizing the public through public education and surveillance activities among other things with a view to regulate and check the excesses of bad drivers.

Members of the public are however expected to drive safely, avoid the use of phones while driving, avoid drunk during, overloading, and always obey traffic lights, especially the newly installed traffic light located within the metropolis. Defaulters will not be spared.
