Owo Church attack: Amotekun arrests suspected killers of worshippers

The Ondo State Security Network codenamed Amotekun says it has arrested some suspects involved in the terror attack at Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owo local government area of the state.

Commander of the security network, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye also revealed that they retrieved the vehicle and some of the weapons used for the operation.

Adeleye, who spoke while parading 71 suspected criminals at the command’s headquarters on Thursday, assured that all those involved in the attack would be tracked down as investigation is still on going.

Although he did not give the actual figure of the suspects arrested in connection with the attack, he noted that the perpetrators of the crime must be brought to face the law.

“As regards the Owo incident, we have recovered the last vehicle they used for that operation and we made some arrests and we have also recovered some vital things which we are working on.

“A number of people have been arrested concerning the Owo issue as well as some equipment.

“On that day, we pursued them to the point we recovered the vehicle and we are still pursuing them

“We have told you that until we get to the root, I can assure you that the perpetrators and their sponsors will be brought to book,” he stated.
