Chibudom Nwuche speaks on replacing Wike in 2023

A former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chibudom Nwuche has said he would consult with stakeholders before declaring to run for the office of governor in 2023.

He disclosed this when a group, the Ekpeye Mandate urged him to contest for the governorship of Rivers State in 2023.

The group said they have found Nwuche most credible and worthy to take over the affairs of Rivers state from governor Nyesom Wike and continue in that legacy towards a better Rivers State.

According to them, the sterling performance of Prince Nwuche in the House of Representatives especially as Deputy and his commitment to the wellbeing of the common man stands him out to occupy and deliver on the task of the exalted office of a Governor.

The group said it has commenced consultations with other ethnic groups in Rivers and the candidature of Nwuche has received tremendous and overwhelming support from across the state.

The group also said it has the network to mobilize Rivers people for the realization of the agenda.

Nwuche, however, promised to further consult with the stakeholders in the party under the leadership as he is a team player.

He thanked them for finding him worthy and assured them that his guiding principles in public service has always been to place the welfare of the masses first and above all considerations.

He further commended Wike for his development strides in Rivers that has laid a good foundation for the economic development.
