APC: Abe’s faction rejects reconciliation committee set up by Emeka Beke

The Magnus Abe faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has rejected a reconciliation committee set up by the state Chairman of the party, Chief. Emeka Beke to reconcile all aggrieved members of the party.

Beke had on Monday inaugurated a reconciliation committee to be headed by Hon. Dawari George to reconcile all members of the party.

The chairman, who noted that nobody in the party is bigger than the other said the committee was set up to unite all members of the party.

He urged members of the instituted committee to reach out to all aggrieved members including PDP members and bring them to the APC.

“As a political party, a lot of people are aggrieved. We need to reconcile them and that is our primary focus; to make sure that everybody works together as a family.

“That is why we decided to set up this committee called the reconciliation committee to make sure that we bring back members of the party for us to work together. I can tell you as the chairman of the party, my assignment is to put the party together,” Beke stated.

However, shortly after the inauguration, a chieftain of the party, Innocent Ajaelo, who is loyal to the Abe faction said the committee is biased and would not be transparent in its dealings.
