Soot: Burna boy calls for urgent end to menace

Port Harcourt born singer, Damini Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy, has called for the urgent end to the soot menace being experienced in Rivers State.

This following a call by the state Governor, Nyesom Wike, security agencies in collaboration with council chairmen and traditional rulers to apprehend all those involved in illegal crude oil bunkering and artisanal refining in parts of the state.

The governor accused those engaged in the illicit acts of being responsible for the environmental pollution endangering the health of residents of the state.

The Grammy award-winner shared pictures that showed blackened clouds on his Instagram handle with write ups, “Dark clouds over my city. What is the way forward? #Stopthesootinportharcourt This is what bright sunny days look for my people right now.”
