Jackrich denies plots with IYC to destroy oil installations, blames Wike

Leader of Network for Defense of Democracy and Good Governance (NDDGG), Ambassador Sobomabo Jackrich has debunked allegations that he and his groups plotted to join the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) to destroy oil installations and facilities across the Niger Delta.

Jackrich in a statement said that he has never held any meeting with the IYC leadership, challenging anyone with proof of such claim to step forward with it.

He stressed that despite being owed by Eroton Oil, it is still not enough reason to conceive a plan to destroy oil facilities belonging to them or that of other companies in the Niger Delta.

He alleged that this is a ploy by some Rivers state government officials to silence him for speaking up against perceived injustice in the state, charging security agencies to investigate the allegation.

It will be recalled that Jackrich had accused Governor Wike of a number of things including injustice against the Kalabari people, insisting that Governor Wike’s administration does not follow due process in awarding contracts for projects in the state.
