IYC president escapes death

President of the Ijaw Youths Council (IYC), Deacon Peter Igbifa, escaped death on Sunday following an accident.

It was gathered that Igbifa was on his way to Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, to join in the celebration of the famous Boro Day when his vehicle lost control, plunging into a big pothole.

The vehicle, a Toyota Camry, reportedly somersaulted three times before landing into a bush, with its ruins damaged beyond repair.

He and other occupants of the vehicle, including his orderly escaped unhurt.

The IYC president confirmed the reports, thanking God for saving him.

IYC boro day is a day mapped out to celebrate late Nationalist and soldier, Major Isaac Boro.
