Five killed as OSPAC operatives attack each other in Rivers Community

An attack by members of ONELGA Security and Advisory Committee, OSPAC, on each other has resulted in the death of at least five of its operatives.

The five members of the vigilante group were killed during an internal leadership tussle in Egi land, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area of Rivers State.

The incident occurred on Tuesday at Ahiahu junction in Erema axis of the Egi land, according to Standard Observers.

The paper reports that the vigilante members turned their weapons against themselves over alleged financial misappropriation and disagreement over leadership responsibilities.

The paper reports that sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the coordinator of the vigilante group in the community was shot dead during the fracas while the secretary sustained life-threatening injuries, and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
