#SARSMUSTGO: Port Harcourt, Enugu, Aba to hold protests today

Florence Uwaeme

As the #EndSARS protests continue in many parts of the country in spite of the pronouncement made by the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu on the disbandment of the unit, protests are still ongoing in different parts of the country with some protest yet to commence in other cities like Port Harcourt and Owerri which are scheduled for Today.

Although the IGP had pronounced the SARS unit dissolved, peaceful protesters are still being shot at, arrested and brutalized, killed even for no just cause. This, however, has ignited the youths and they are not laying low until there is an end to police brutality.

Port Harcourt, Owerri, Aba, Kaduna, Jos and Enugu are the cities that will commence their protest tomorrow. If you are in any of the mentioned cities and you intend to join the protest in your city here are the venues for every state.

Protesters in Port Harcourt are to converge at the Port Harcourt Pleasure Park by 9 am.

Enugu: Enugu’s protest takeoff point is Ọkpara Square by 10 am.

Kaduna: if you wish to join the protest in Kaduna state, take-off is at GTB Barnawa by 10 am.

Aba: Brass Junction is the place to converge in Aba, Abia state. Time is 9:00 am

Jos: Polo roundabout is the takeoff point.

Lagos and Abuja are presently on lockdown following the continuous protests by Nigerian youths that they want SARS UNIT to be truly dissolved not just on social media through a press briefing.

Presently, the protesters are at the Berger Roundabout in Abuja, Lekki Toll Gate, Airport Road, UNILAG gate in Lagos, to continue pressuring the government to make another declaration.
