Two pastors arrested for drugging, raping corps member in Rivers

The State Criminal Investigation Department(SCID) of the Rivers State Police Command has detained two pastors of a new generational church in Port Harcourt for allegedly raping a twenty-seven-year-old serving Youth Corp member.

The corps member who hails from Plateau State is serving in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state where the crime allegedly took place.

While narrating her ordeal in the hands of the duo, the corps member said she one of the suspects identified as Austin invited her to his house on 29th August 2020 which was his birthday, adding that a friend of Austin, David who is also a Pastor later joined them.

She said she had no reason to suspect them as they both worshipped in the same church for over five months.

She said the pastor rubbed oil on her while praying and she fell asleep and later woke up the next day naked with bruises on her private part which caused a great deal of pain.

She said that the pastor later instructed her to sow her mobile phone as seed and commenced another round of deliverance on her.

She said that after medical examination, it was discovered that her hymen has been torn, as she has been deflowered.

In the meantime, the Rivers State Branch of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), has joined the family of the victim to demand justice.
