The Omega Power Ministries OPM has re-opened its Free Specialists Hospital in Aluu, Rivers State.

The General Overseer of OPM, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, while briefing newsmen in Port Harcourt said the decision to re-open the hospital was due to cries of pregnant women who were about to deliver at the hospital.

The Clergyman said he saw videos of pregnant women who beseeched the hospital after the health facility was shut down on Sunday 5th July 2020.

The Free Specialists Hospital was shut down over levies imposed by Aluu clan on the health facility and other different projects

He said the cries of the pregnant women at the gate of the health facility moved him to reconsider his earlier decision to shut down the OPM Free Specialists Hospital.

The Cleric noted that he has instructed the management of the hospital to commence operations immediately to enable them to attend to the numerous patients that need medical attention.

He revealed that two pregnant women delivered their babies at the hospital on Monday 6th July at the facility.

Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere said the Faith-Based Organization will now continue its operation in Aluu rather than moving the hospital to Ogoniland.

He, however, promised to set up a medical facility in Ogoniland after they offered the church some portion of land for the project.

The General Overseer of OPM also frowned at the attitude of some indigenes who he claimed do not want development in the community.

He also commended the efforts of Ogbakor Aluu in resolving the issue that led to the shutting down of the hospital.

The General Overseer of OPM said he will continue to operate his numerous humanitarian projects in Aluu in line with the visions of the church.
