The traditional leadership of Omoku communities in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State has raised an alarm following threats of bloodshed in the area.

The traditional leadership is accusing a group led by one cleric it refuses to mention his name in print because of the ongoing mediation process to restore peace in the area.

Representing the traditional leadership of Omoku, a paramount ruler in the area, His Royal Highness and Eze Obioha 1 of Omoku, Chief Uche Onwusa described the group as thieves and prodigal sons of the area.

He told our correspondent that: “These boys are the prodigal sons of Omoku and they are busy issuing threats that if their decisions are not carried out that there will be bloodshed.

“One impostor who said he is a pastor is the one leading these boys and they are claiming to be a group representing the 19 communities in Omoku.

“This impostor whom I wouldn’t want to mention his name because of the mediation process going is the one organizing those boys to cause trouble in Omoku.

“This group wants to unseat the traditional rulership of Omoku because they believe that their own decisions are the best.

“They are crooks and thieves that want to ruin the future of Omoku.

“Though a body from Port Harcourt is asking for peace and has come to meditate.”
