Rivers APC holds first virtual meeting, wants a return to winning ways

Twenty statutory members of All progressive Congress in Rivers state have attended a virtual meeting summoned by the Caretaker Committee chairman Rt Hon. Igo Aguma.

The meeting which was held today 13th of June, 2020 with fruitful deliberations made clear that the primary focus of the Caretaker Committee is reconciliation and the conduct of Congresses in line with the Supreme Court judgement.

In a statement signed by the Media Adviser to the CTC chairman, Livingstone Wechie said the executive Committee mandated the Chairman to consult widely and come up with a comprehensive draft working paper on the way forward for the party that will be deliberated upon in the next Executive Committee meeting.

The statement also said that the Chairman used the opportunity to call on all APC members in Rivers state to support the Caretaker Committee to reposition the party back to its winning ways.

Recall that the executive chairman of APC, Igo Aguma had invited 32 members of the Rivers State Executive Committee, including the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi,and Board member, NNPC, Senator Magnus Abe to a virtual meeting today 13th June, 2020.

The statement did not however list members who attended as the faction belonging to Amaechi rubbished the court judgement which installed Aguma.
