Just In: Rivers gets new FRSC sector commander

A new sector commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has been deployed to Rivers State.

He is Meshach Adizigi Jatau who will now replace his predecessor, David Mendie in the state

RS6.1, in the state, Michael John said the appointment came as a result of recent promotion of officers.

He said: “Following the recent promotion of senior officers in the Federal Road Safety Corps, movement and posting of these officers become imperative.

“It is in this regard that we wish to inform the general public of the appointment of Commander Meshach Adizigi Jatau Corps Commander (CC) as the new Sector Commander, Rivers State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps.

“Corps Commander Meshach Jatau was until his posting, the Sector Commander in charge of Abia State Sector Command.

“Before his deployment to Abia as Sector Commander, he was the Registrar, FRSC Academy, Udi, Enugu State.

“Corps Commander Meshach Jatau holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Master’s Degree in Literature in English from the University of Jos, Plataeu State.

“He also holds a certificate in Speech Writing from the University of Ibadan and a certificate in Automobile and Environmental Safety Policy from the Japan Automobile Research Institute, Tsukuba, Japan.

“Corps Commander Meshach Jatau has served as member and secretary to numerous FRSC Planning Committees on Workshops and Conferences and was at one time the Principal Staff Officer to the Corps Marshal of the FRSC.

“Corps Commander Meshach Adizigi Jatau is taking over from David Mendie who was promoted to the rank of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) and has commended his terminal leave.”
