Members of the Islamic Movement also known as Shiites, have stormed the National Assembly, clashing with police officers in the process.
Things turned violent when the protesters, who are demanding the release of their leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, tried to gain entry into the complex, Channels Tv reports.
After gaining entry into the first gate of the Assembly, the protesters damaged some vehicles including a police van with a policeman injured in the process.
