Vessels of God, Rivers NUJ Extols Female Journalists

On the occasion of the 2026 international Mothers’ Day Celebration, the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Rivers State Council, eulogised female journalists, describing them as vessels of God’s Grace.

In a statement on Sunday, March 15, 2026, by the NUJ Chairman, Mr Paul Bazia-Nsaneh and Secretary, Ijeoma Tubosia, the union commended mothers, especially female journalists, for their love, sacrifice, prayers and unwavering commitment to their families and Church.

The union hailed female practitioners in the pen profession for their efforts in balancing their professional responsibilities with family.

NUJ praised mothers for their commitment in “nurturing faith, hope, and godly values in the hearts of your children and the entire Christian community.

“As journalists, we recognise and further underscored the significant role of mothers in shaping narratives, nurturing future generations, and upholding the principles of truth and integrity within society.

“Your dedication, patience, and strength continue to shape lives and build a stronger Church.”

The union further prayed for abundant blessings and that God will strengthen every mother in all they do and reward their labour of love.

“May this day serve as a reminder of your  immense contributions to our homes, workplaces, and the nation at large.”
