“Stop Raping Women!” Simi Cries Out In Emotional Outburst

Nigerian music star Simi has sparked intense conversations online after speaking out strongly against the rising cases of rape and sexual violence across the country.

The singer, known for her soulful voice and socially conscious personality, took to her social media page to express deep anger and frustration over the disturbing trend. Her post has since gained massive reactions from fans, celebrities and activists, who have praised her for using her platform to address such a sensitive issue.

In her message, Simi called for stricter and more severe punishment for offenders, insisting that the country must stop treating sexual assault lightly. She also urged citizens and authorities to take decisive action to protect women and ensure perpetrators are held accountable.

The award-winning artist emphasised that sexual violence is more common than many people realise, revealing that countless women have experienced some form of assault at different points in their lives. According to her, the culture of silence, victim-blaming and excuses for offenders must end if real change is to happen.

“I’m sickkk of this. Stop raping women. They need to castrate rapists and burn them. How many of your friends have actually assaulted women as vibes?? Women are terrified to go out. Women in their homes are not safe either. Ask your sisters ask your female friends and your girlfriends. Ask your wives. We’re not all crazy. Stop raping women,” she stated.

Many Nigerians agree with her anger and demand tougher laws, while others debate the severity of the punishment she suggested. Regardless, the conversation has once again brought attention to the urgent need for stronger protection for women and improved justice systems in the country.

Simi has long been known not only for her music but also for speaking up on social and human rights issues, and this latest outcry further cements her role as one of the most vocal entertainers advocating for change in Nigeria.
