ARMY RECRUITMENT: Rivers Youths Urged to Consider a Career in the Army

The Nigerian Army have enjoined Rivers Youths to consider a career in the Army and apply in the ongoing online registration for 90 Regular Recruits intake exercise for Trades and non-tradesmen and women.

The registration which commenced on 29 September is open for all interested and qualified applicants between the age of 18 and 22 for non-tradesmen and women while tradesmen and women must not be more than 26 years as of 30th December 2025.

The Director, Welfare Services, Army Headquarters Department Administration, Brigadier General Patrick Alimihkena while briefing Newsmen at 6 Division Garrison port Harcourt during a Recruitment Sensitization campaign tour to Rivers State stressed the need to have a good number of citizens from the state to get enlisted in order to benefit from the lofty packages from the Nigerian Army.

Brigadier General Alimihkena who is also the chairman of Recruitment Sensitization campaign team also noted that potential recruits are not required to pay to be enlisted, urging applicants to report anybody who requests for money in whatever guise.

Also speaking, the Secretary of the Recruitment Sensitization campaign team, Lieutenant Colonel Ogbemudia Osawe emphasized that the Nigerian Army have offered a platform for equal opportunity for all interested and qualified candidates in the recruitment exercise.

The Commanding Officer Admin Battalion 6 Division, Lieutenant Colonel Orobosa Igheghe described the Nigerian Army as a well respected and noble profession and urged Rivers youths not to miss the golden opportunity to apply and join the force.

The Nigerian Army online registration for 90 Regular Recruits Intake Exercise for Trades and non-tradesmen and women will close on 14th November 2025.
