VIAVI Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAV), a global leader in network testing and assurance, has announced the release of its next-generation handheld testers designed to simplify and accelerate high-speed fiber deployments.
The new models, including the OneExpert Fiber (ONX-700) and OneExpert HFC (ONX-720/730), consolidate multiple testing functions into a single rugged device, streamlining field operations for technicians.
The launch comes at a pivotal time as service providers ramp up 10G network rollouts, spanning XGS-PON, DOCSIS 4.0, and 5G backhaul. These advanced testers aim to reduce the number of tools technicians must carry while shortening training time and ensuring that every installation or maintenance task is performed correctly on the first attempt.
All-in-One Design: Each device combines functions such as fiber inspection, optical power measurement, and Ethernet service testing, eliminating the need for separate tools.
User-Friendly Interface: With a large touchscreen and automated workflows, the testers guide users step by step, delivering clear pass/fail outcomes for certification and troubleshooting.

Technology Versatility: Compatible with multiple network standards, including 10G fiber, DOCSIS, and WiFi 7, and integrated with VIAVI tools like the Smart Link Mapper.
Seamless Connectivity: Built-in WiFi and Bluetooth enable easy cloud uploads of test results, reducing paperwork and facilitating team collaboration.
The handheld testers will make their first public appearance at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Washington, D.C., from September 29 to October 1, where VIAVI will host live demonstrations at booth J1285.
