Afrobeats megastar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has offered a candid explanation for his recent quiet spell on social media, attributing it to the realities of married life.

The Feel crooner, who holds the title of most-followed African artist across platforms like Instagram and X, responded to a fan who expressed concern over his digital silence. The fan wrote:

“Davido never post for over 3 days now. I miss my idolo.”

Davido replied with a humorous but telling message:

“When u marry u go understand.. lol”

The comment quickly went viral, sparking a wave of reactions from fans who interpreted it as a nod to the new dynamics of his personal life following his wedding to longtime partner Chioma Adeleke.

The couple tied the knot in a lavish white wedding ceremony in Miami, Florida, in August 2025, attended by family, friends, and celebrities from across the globe. On September 11, they marked their one-month anniversary, with Chioma sharing a heartfelt post and Davido calling the day “the best day ever.”

Fans have speculated that Davido’s reduced online presence may be due to new responsibilities, a desire for privacy, or simply spending more time offline with his wife. Some jokingly suggested that Chioma may have “collected his phone,” while others praised the singer for embracing a more grounded lifestyle.

The shift is notable for an artist whose digital presence has long been part of his brand, whether it’s teasing new music, engaging fans, or sharing glimpses of his luxury lifestyle.

Davido’s message, though brief, speaks volumes: love changes the rhythm, and he’s dancing to a new beat, one that’s less about likes and more about life.
