The Group CEO of NNPC Ltd., Engr. L Bayo Ojulari, has revealed that the company is facing what he described as “attacks” from individuals who oppose the ongoing transformation efforts.
The company, in a statement posted on its X page overnight, said Ojulari made this known while speaking to a delegation from the Petroleum & Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN).
He stated that the management will not succumb to pressure and will continue to work in the best interest of Nigerians.
“We are under attack. You cannot drive change without a price, and the transformation is tough”, Ojulari said.
He emphasised that the Nigerian people need to be patient to see the full benefits of the reforms his team is implementing under the mandate of President Bola Tinubu.

He also assured the union that the “enemies of this company and Nigerians will not win.”
Ojulari highlighted his team’s top priority since he took over five months ago: reviving the nation’s refineries.
He stated that the company is exploring the Incorporated Joint Venture (IJV) model to make the refineries sustainable and profitable in the long term, rather than seeking a “quick fix” due to pressure.
In his remarks, PENGASSAN President Festus Osifo commended the NNPC management for its partnership and acknowledged the “remarkable milestones” achieved under Ojulari’s leadership.
Osifo noted that crude oil theft has been significantly reduced and that pipelines are operational, increasing production.
He assured the GCEO of the union’s full support to ensure the stability of the system.
