A recent report indicates that Junior Nduka, the captain of the Nigerian Home-based Super Eagles, has articulated the team’s ambition to emulate the successes of the Super Falcons and D’Tigress by clinching the title at the 2024 African Nations Championship.
The Super Falcons and D’Tigress have both recently celebrated victories on the continental stage.
Under Justine Madugu’s guidance, the Super Falcons have further solidified their legacy by winning their 10th title at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which took place in Morocco last month.
In a similar vein, D’Tigress triumphed in securing their fifth consecutive Women’s AfroBasket title in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, this past Sunday.
The Home Eagles are poised to begin their quest for a first CHAN title against the reigning champions, Senegal, at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar this evening.
