Ayansewa Adedeji Named Co-Chair of US Library Committee

Ayansewa Adedeji, a highly accomplished library professional, has been appointed co-chair of the Information Literacy Committee at the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), a division of the American Library Association (ALA). This two-year appointment, which runs from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027, is a testament to Adedeji’s exceptional leadership skills and contributions to the library profession.

With a wealth of experience spanning seven years, Adedeji has established himself as a leader in library services. His previous roles include heading the libraries at Government College, Ibadan, and Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu, in Osun State, Nigeria. Adedeji’s expertise and passion for librarianship have earned him this prestigious appointment, which highlights the growing presence of African library professionals in the global community.
