Super Eagles Pays Respect to Diogo Jota

The Super Eagles have conveyed their profound sadness regarding the untimely demise of Diogo Jota, the forward for Portugal and Liverpool, who reportedly lost his life in a car accident in Zamora, Spain, on Thursday morning.

It is believed that Jota and his brother perished when their Lamborghini went off the road and ignited after a tyre blowout during an overtaking manoeuvre.

According to reports from Spanish police, the incident took place around 12:30 a.m. local time in the municipality of Cernadilla.

In a touching message posted on their official X account, the Super Eagles expressed their condolences alongside the global football community in mourning the loss of the gifted forward.
