Borno Bombing: Tinubu Orders Security Forces to Hunt Down Boko Haram Remnants

Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has directed security agencies to intensify efforts in eliminating the remaining elements of the Boko Haram insurgency, who continue to target soft locations as a diversionary tactic.

The President made this call in a condolence message issued on Sunday, in response to the recent suicide bombing in Konduga, Borno State.

Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, Tinubu condemned the attack as cowardly and mourned the victims.

In a related development, the President sympathised with the families of those killed or injured in Saturday morning’s explosion at a scrap metal factory in Kano State.

The blast affected 15 individuals, five of whom lost their lives. Tinubu emphasised the need for strict workplace safety protocols and directed relevant government agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
