Al-Hilal Approves €75m Move for Osimhen

Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal are actively exploring available avenues to sign Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen. Renowned football transfer expert and journalist Fabrizio Romano stated on his X account on Wednesday that the club’s new manager, Simone Inzaghi, has also given his approval for the move.

Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray and is due to return to Napoli, remains a top target for Al-Hilal. Discussions are currently ongoing to secure his signing.“€75m release clause available — Al-Hilal are working on the player’s side for a target now also approved by Simone Inzaghi,” Romano wrote.

Osimhen is expected to leave Naples on a permanent deal ahead of the new season. He is also attracting interest from several top European clubs, with a release clause of approximately €75 million included in his current contract.Osimhen capped off a remarkable season with Galatasaray by securing two major titles, the Turkish Cup and the Turkish Super Lig.

He set a new record for the highest number of goals scored by a foreign player in a single Super Lig campaign, netting 35 times.Currently eyeing a move away from Napoli following an outstanding loan spell in Turkey, Osimhen also etched his name into the history books as the first Nigerian to win the Turkish Super Lig Golden Boot.He becomes only the fourth African player to achieve this feat, joining the ranks of Morocco’s Aatif Chahechouhe (2014), Senegal’s Mbaye Diagne (2019), and Gabon’s Aaron Boupendza (2021).
