Former Rivers Angel Star Named Africa’s Best Goalkeeper

Indeed it was a Port Harcourt to the World Story as former Rivers Angels star and Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has once again demonstrated her exceptional skills, winning the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award at the 2024 CAF Awards. This prestigious honor marks the second consecutive year that Nnadozie has received this recognition, solidifying her reputation as one of the world’s top goalkeepers.

Nnadozie’s impressive performance in 2023 earned her the same award, beating out strong competition from Moroccan goalkeeper Khadija El-Rmichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini. Her repeat win in 2024 is a testament to her consistency, dedication, and exceptional goalkeeping abilities.

As a key player for the Super Falcons, Nnadozie has been instrumental in the team’s success, showcasing her impressive reflexes, shot-stopping skills, and leadership. In a grand ceremony held in Marrakech, Morocco on Monday night, Paris FC and Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie was recognized as the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year. This prestigious honor is a testament to Nnadozie’s outstanding performances throughout the year, which saw her deliver consistent, match-winning displays on both the club and international stages.

Nnadozie’s impressive campaign with the Super Falcons in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers was a key factor in her selection for this award.
