Rivers Energy Summit to Host 35 Firms, Aiming to Bolster Nigeria’s Oil Production

Solewant Energy Training Institute (SETI) is set to host 35 companies in Rivers State at an upcoming Energy Summit, aimed at enhancing oil production and strengthening Nigeria’s energy sector. Benjamin Ubleble, Executive Secretary of SETI, announced the event, which is scheduled for November 29, 2024, at SETI’s Alode Eleme facility in Rivers State. The summit, themed “Powering Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Energy Development in Africa,” aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s directive for energy sector stakeholders to intensify efforts in boosting production and advancing energy innovation.

Ubleble emphasized the summit’s purpose as a platform for industry leaders, oil and gas experts, policymakers, and innovators to exchange ideas and showcase advancements. “The directive from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu underscores the urgent need for innovation, investment, and collaborative action among oil and gas stakeholders to meet our energy demands,” Ubleble stated, adding that the Solewant Group has committed to pipeline integrity management as part of its response to the directive.

The summit will feature discussions on critical topics like sustainable energy infrastructure, security, and resilience in Nigeria’s energy sector, aiming to foster collaborations that translate into tangible policy advancements and stronger energy infrastructure. Ubleble highlighted that one of the event’s primary objectives is to drive technical innovation, strengthen regulatory support, and create strategic partnerships to ensure sustainable growth.

With approximately 35 local and international companies expected to attend, the summit promises to bring together diverse perspectives and expertise, creating a collaborative environment to explore solutions for Nigeria’s energy challenges.
