The Oyigbo Chapter of the Supreme Council for SIM Worldwide has nominated Chisom Gbali, the Commissioner for Youth Development, as their local government chairman aspirant for the coming local government area election.
The Chief Press Secretary, Sunday Okwuchi, made this announcement known in a document shared today on X stating that the exercise, which witnessed the inauguration of its LGA Stakeholders’ and Ward Executives, took place at Devulgate Hotels, Ayama-Ndoki, Port Harcourt.
Joshua Fubara, the National Coordinator, highlighted the importance of historical bonds between Ndoki and Opobo as he encouraged the elected members to work together, dubbing it the “SIM Party,” to rally support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
While speaking at the event, he conferred the nominated aspiring a honorary title of Patron for the Supreme Council for SIM, Oyigbo Chapter.
Furthermore, Greg Nwankwo, who represented the Chairman of Oyigbo LGA, appreciated the National Coordinator and assured the body of Oyigbo’s commitment to effective representation.
However, Gbali hailed the CTC Chairman of Oyigbo, Gogo Philip, and Governor Fubara’s achievements, transparency, and dedication, while highlighting their contribution to improving and providing security among numerous projects within the state.
Former Chairman of Obio-Akpor, Chikodi Dike, charged the new members to carry out their roles diligently, as he warned them against underestimating the shifting political landscape.

The dignitaries present were Senator Dr. Ngoji Denton-West leading the proceedings, Chief Philip Chinemerem as Coordinator, and Mr. Nnamdi Owulo Paul as Assistant Coordinator.
While other stakeholders and ward executives present Prof. Nwulu Stella and Barr. Ajuzieogu Kingsley, among others, community leaders, marking a new chapter of leadership and advocacy for the SIM movement in Oyigbo.
