Oko-Jumbo Confirms Five Commissioner Nominees

The Rivers State House of Assembly Speaker, Victor Oko-Jumbo, confirmed the five screened nominees as commissioners and members of the Rivers State Executive Council on Tuesday.

The screening exercise took place at the Hallowed Chambers of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Auditorium, Administration Block, Government House, Port Harcourt.

Earlier, an invitation was sent by the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, who requested that the five nominated names be screened on the floor of the house.

The names of the confirmed commissioners whose positions were not disclosed include Mr. Ilamu Arugu, Dr. Roland Obed White, Dr Samuel Anya, Hon Samuel Eyiba, and Mr Austin Nnadozie.

Furthermore, a bill for the establishment of the Rivers State Technical and Vocational Training Institute and other matters thereto passed the second reading as considered by the Assembly.
