A 42-year-old man identified as Efe Erinoja has allegedly killed his wife following an undisclosed dispute in Orerokpe, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was learnt that the incident occurred at about 6.30 in the morning at their residence in Orerokpe.
The suspect is said to have fled to avoid being mobbed by angry youths in the area after neighbours heard the screams of the deceased identified as Faith Ekpe.
It was gathered that by the time the neighbours arrived at the scene, the victim had passed on.
Though he had fled the community, the accused is said to have been tracked and arrested following a report made at Orerokpe Police Station by the brother of the deceased.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the State Police Command, Edafe Bright, said investigations have commenced and the body of the deceased deposited into the morgue.
