Hausans in Rivers State have accused the youths of Kalahari ethnic nationality in the state of hacking their kinsman, Abubakar Usman to death.
Usman was on Tuesday morning found lifeless in his pool of blood in the Buguma axis of Asari-Toru Local Government Area of the state.
When contacted, the Chairman of the Hausa Youths in the state, Mas’udu Muhammad told our correspondent that Usman’s killers used sticks and machetes to batter him to death.
He said, “I was called on Tuesday that Usman had been killed in Buguma. I immediately rushed to the scene with the personnel of Asari-Toru Police Station and we met him lifeless in his pool of blood.
“I was told that someone who had bought jewellery from Usman before called him at Monday evening and Usman went with him.
“The next day, we saw Usman being battered to death with multiple cuts on his head and nobody or chief from the compound he was killed in is willing to help get justice for Usman.
The Hausa youths chairman further maintained that the killers of Usman are Kalahari youths, adding that the police had made some arrest.
