A man has allegedly taken his life by jumping into a well after killing his wife in Delta State.
It was learnt that the deceased, identified as Peter, allegedly killed his wife, Chikodi, a prophetess in a new generation church.
He was said to have killed his wife at their base in Umunede and ran to his hometown, Ekwuoma, in Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State, where he jumped into the well.
Community sources disclosed that the prophetess was the General Overseer of the new generation church in the community.
Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the state police command, DSP Bright Edafe, said they were yet to discover reasons for the action.
He added that an investigation had been launched to ascertain what happened.
