Covid-19: Delta begins cases search in 6 LGAs

The Delta State Government has disclosed that it has commenced an active case search in six Local Government Areas in a bid to check community transmission of #COVID19 in the state.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Mordi Ononye, disclosed this in Asaba during a news briefing by the Technical Committee on #COVID19 Response in the state on Monday.

Dr. Ononye commended the health workers for their tireless efforts in the fight against #COVID19 and disclosed that the State Government has ensured that over 2,557 health workers in the state have been provided with life insurance— in order to motivate them.

‪”In view of the fact that there is evidence of community transmission, we have begun active case searches in six LGAs. These are: Uvwie, Udu, Warri South, Ughelli South, Okpe, Oshimili South and Oshimili North — with an emphasis on 19 wards,” Dr. Ononye said.
